Well...why don’t you obtain dual citizenship?
And then...continue to work here. I guess.
Because the other country wouldn’t be good enough to get citizenship in and then work there?
So even in a perfect world you would still come here. Got it.
Unfortunately it’s not that easy in our line of work. Im handcuffed here with my career at this point. If I could go fly for AC (they openly hired/sponsored expats) I would absolutely consider it. It’s not an accident I had exactly 104 overnights in Canada when I flew for the regionals I can assure you.
In the meantime, if allowed (but isnt for the most part) I would happily reside north of the border pay their taxes and be a resident.
I used to live and fly for an island nation in the Caribbean a long time ago. Ive kept coming back yearly since. When I purchase a home there in the next few years, I’ll be halfway there as I can stay 6 months of the year.
You can enjoy and appreciate your career here in the states, a career that I have spent my entire life working towards and is my passion, yet also not want anything to do with the living and raising a family here. They aren’t mutually exclusive.
