In the meantime, if allowed (but isnt for the most part) I would happily reside north of the border pay their taxes and be a resident.

I used to live and fly for an island nation in the Caribbean a long time ago. Ive kept coming back yearly since. When I purchase a home there in the next few years, I’ll be halfway there as I can stay 6 months of the year.

You can enjoy and appreciate your career here in the states, a career that I have spent my entire life working towards and is my passion, yet also not want anything to do with the living and raising a family here. They aren’t mutually exclusive.
Sure, I understand. I’m a dual citizen in fact. And more citizens of that particular country live out of it than in it. I’m glad you have a plan—don’t forget that you are trainable and smart enough to be an airline pilot, so you are fully capable of doing another line of work.

Im thinking about a home purchase in the future as well, places like Croatia have come to mind. But of course, it’s just an idea at this point.

That being said, I love this country for the opportunities it has given my immigrant family. I was born here and will vote my conscience—it’s sad that it seems like it’s being destroyed rather quickly.
