In the world of economics often answers aren't that simple. It could be part of it but not all. I live in a state that opted out of the additional fed unemployment. Business's still can't find low skill workers. So clearly Biden bucks aren't to blame here. Around me the cost of living is high, so unless you wanna commute its hard to be a low skill/wage worker. In our particular industry if you can drive a tug or load a bag you could probably make 2-3 times as much swinging hammer or loading bricks. Workers will follow the money, if we pay the worst they'll bail.
When did your state opt out of the program and when did the last checks go out. 25 states have opted out but the effects won’t be felt until later in the summer.
