No, you’re not reading too much into it. They didn’t adjust their playbook, it’s ALPA playing par for the course getting steamrolled by the company with a weak MEC. I read the updates and it’s the same thing, we asked so we are waiting on a response from the company to say no.
To fight hard and get a better deal the second go around would wake a huge segment of the pilot group to the concept that further gains can be had by rejecting a first offer.... that creates much more work from a far more demanding pilot group!
