Aircraft Leasing
I work for 2 owners that split ownership of a Jet aircraft. One owner likes to use the aircraft to occasionally let his friends use the airplane without that particular owner on board. The part owner also has several other planes on a charter cert (not his own) and does some dry leases in others. Whenever the other airplanes are busy, he uses this aircraft to cover them. This aircraft is not on a 135 cert and is part 91 only. I don't see any way that this can be legal. Am I right or wrong. How can the owner legally allow friends to use his airplane for their personal use without being a "134.5" operation?
