I still haven't seen a good costing of efficiencies if there is no redundant company or DCI. When they want to justify a merger or integrate a JV, they call it synergies. The right schedule would mean I'm uber-senior and 1 or 2 day trips. It's just another aircraft/fleet type. Put 0 seats in it and haul cargo, I don't really care what's behind the door. And that goes for all our aircraft/fleets.
