Unless you switch bases in order to change NB fleets, then it comes with the usual 24 month lock (NOTHING PREVENTS YOU FROM BASE TRADING/VACANCY BID BACK INTO YOUR ORIGINAL BASE ASAP) - without any additional penalty.
ie. EWR 320 FO wants to go 737 for some crazy reason - then after your initial 24 month newhire seat lock (going NB to NB) bid SFO 737, which you’ll get no problem. THEN the gamble...try and base trade BACK to EWR on the 737 or wait for another vacancy bid (which will seem to be happening a lot more with today’s announcement). Buyer beware tho...bid what you want - want what you bid!
