Company says yes. ALPA says no because it violates 23.G.3. Submit an Ace Report or email the Scheduling Committee and they'll take a look at it.
I would consider that change as a reroute. Since it is known more than 14 hours in advance the flying should be built into a new rotation and placed in open time. Had the change occurred with less than 14 hours to the flight it would be a legal reroute.
I am not sure where 23.G.3 comes into play since it specifically deals with the first flight of a rotation.
