If they didn't mention it then I'm assuming they won't have you take it. There were lots of people in my class with less than the 800tt who didn't take it. If they talked to you about it then that's another situation. Also they have two different courses they send can send you to. One is 1 week, the other is 3. They pay for the course, the housing, and of course the transportation to and from but that's it. The 1 week one is about a $75 cab ride from the airport so keep that in mind. Don't know about the 3 week course.
If they did mention it, I would totally take it as long as you're fine with the 18 month contract. You talk a lot about the FMS is ground school and if you've never been exposed to one all the talk is probably going to go right over your head.
Also, I think whether or not they want you to do the program is based solely on your TIMES, not how you did in the interview. Whether or not you get the job is based on how you did in the interview.
