This is a great thing to get a better job, 9-5. Or they decided to go get a trade. All these things people keep complaining that low wage earners should do, many are doing. Certainly the unemployment plays a role, but as a poster said above, even states who didn't extend the benefits are struggling.
just talked to my neighbor 2 houses down. Laid off a 50k a year job. He came right out and said "with the covid stimulus money why waste the summer?"
I can respect he was honest.
