Why would any other pilot group care? There is no scope language because the weak pilot group never made it a priority to demand it… now look where we are.. now We are the regional feeder to skywest.

this will not change. We won’t be getting scope nor anything resembling industry average or better. There is no motivation for management to come to the table and negotiate, nor is there a timeline or when any of this will be completed. They will drag this out for years until the pilot group caves for marginal improvements in a few areas but nothing significant. Or the company threaten significant plans to further ruin qol or add more regional planes if we don’t accept a bad ta and we will..

Mainline frequencies have dropped from over 90% to less than 40% at SFO. Almost all of the former VX flying is now operated by SkyWest DBA Alaska Airlines.

As a whole: SkyWest flying DBA Alaska Airlines is up 12 percent and Mainline Alaska flying is down 18 percent from 2019.

There are 36 less mainline aircraft at Alaska than there were in 2019

The number of regional aircraft has only decreased by one Q400.

It could be more, regional aircraft today than 2019 - if aircraft operated by SkyWest DBA Alaska Airlines were included. But I’m not sure about this.

Every pilot in the industry should be concerned by Alaska Airlines management’s prioritization of Regional airline expansion. As it represents an unfair advantage at the expense of a unionized mainline pilot group.
