The biggest discount is buying the tickets at the counter or gate, which anyone can do. This is the best deal if you don't plan on traveling with a check bag or carry on.
Yeah. Sucks that we cant even pick a seat when buying a full fare ticket as an employee, without having to pay for the seat. Im not even talking about a "premium seat," but just a row for the family to sit together. Would be easier than asking a gate agent to do it for us.
