Remaining to be called for recall: 1413
Total remaining furloughs: 2084

Confused? That's because a AA furloughees recall rights come with a 3 year deferral option. So it's quite possible that AA could reach the end of the recall list, and then have to begin hiring (sometime in 2009?). Keep in mind that returning furloughees will continue to come back in front of any new hires.
