Not exactly sure what you mean here…..

There is a seat lock for any AE including bidding to Captain for the first time. As an FO with a seat lock bidding to Captain for the first time, you can do it but I think whatever seat lock you have left in the FO position is added to your Captain bid seat lock. Or something like that.
