I'm no engineer but how does the 320 have space for 2 jumps + bag space for all pilots and the 73 can barely fit 2 bags with a jump. I've also heard the transition from 320 to 330 is relatively easy.

If there isn't a large gap of seniority between the two fleets, I'd go 320 with no hesitation.
I think you now know why there's such a gap in seniority

I transitioned (by force, thanks COVID) from the 7ER to the 320 at the beginning of this year. Despite my initial tantrums, I don't think I could be happier. The flying honestly isn't that much different on the 320 vs the domestic 7ER flying. A little more variety; more 'villes and 'burghs, some Mexico with lots of Florida, mid-cons, mountains and west coast as well. With the international all but dead on the 7ER right now (NYC may be a different story but I wouldn't know), I'm much happier with the seniority on the 320 than I was flying mostly 7ER domestic. Its meant a better schedule overall (even if you do have to suffer through the occasional 4-legger but... the 7ER had those too) and more GS opportunities, negating the slightly lower pay rate. Long term, what helped my decision to go 320B was that it sets you up nicely to go 330B or slide over to a 320A slot when the opportunity presents itself.

Personally, I loved the 7ER category for the 6 years I was on it and am so thankful I had the opportunity when I did. I really thought long and hard about leaving. But it had changed so much (not for the better) over the last few years, especially recently. Coupled with the stagnant/backsliding seniority of a fleet in its twilight and it just seemed time to move on. The 320 sucks compared to the 757/767 but then, so does just about everything. Overall I've been happy with the move.
