All UPS new hires go through the typical long course. If you're an FO on an a/c that has an IRO, you'll get a type rating with an FAA oral. If you already are typed in the aircraft, you'd have a COMPANY oral instead.
The 757/767 course for new hires was AQP, and we got the type rating. No oral, just a 100 question systems validation test, performance problem, and preflight slides.
