If you don’t think they sell these jobs to van drivers for minimum wage because “you’ll make an extra $50 or $60 everyday with tips” then you’re delusional.
I do feel that as a society we should move away from the tipping economy. It’s gotten out of hand and companies should pay a fair wage without the excessive tipping that’s become the norm. But if it’s customary then I’m not going to be a DB and stiff the guy or gal because I disagree with it. That’s their income they’re depending on and it isn’t my place to mess with it. Outside of a new regional FO or some outliers we all make enough money to throw the driver a buck or two. At least throw your own bags if you’re not going to tip.
