It’s my personal opinion Kirby is sending a message to plan accordingly, go find new work before the inevitable happens. We actually lost a lot of potential pilot candidates for the majors with these recent shutdowns (men/women deciding to hang it up, instead of starting over again at a new regional). I have a friend from Compass, who’s fairly young (late 20’s), decided he’d rather work a desk job and be home to see his now fiancé, than start over and commute to reserve for dog **** regional pay.
When the man who signs the checks says this is what I’m going to do and this is when I’m going to do it , it really doesn’t leave much room for debate .
