I think you’re right. I get the sense Kirby is just trying to keep the potential future pilots surplus strong. When you get thrown on the street to start over, already working for a subpar regional airline, said individuals already got their feet wet, realized it wasn’t anything they imagined, and decide to go a different career route. Honestly, I don’t blame them.
