If you don't want the vaccine - fine, I respect your choice although I disagree. Likewise I'm sure you respect my choice to get vaccinated. Our individual choices are only part of the equation though - the public health macro perspective doesn't really hinge on flightmedic or axl's individual choice but looks at 'community' statistics. I'm ok if you defend your choice. However, I know that if too many people within a community share that perspective we will all suffer the consequences of a spreading & mutating virus.
Quite the quandary here. The anti-vaxxers probably also don’t like masks, lockdowns and the like, nor do I. But the pandemic is now the pandemic of the unvaccinated, so as long as a large portion of the country still denies the efficacy of the vaccines, we’re going to be dealing with this BS for a while.
If everyone (I realize this will never happen) had either gotten the vaccine or achieved natural immunity, this thing would just fizzle out.
