I'm sure there are more, but two good web sites for explaining and defining corporate finance are motley fool and, believe it or not, Yahoo finance.

There are some good books as well that are easy reads and available e-book for kindle or download to whatever device you prefer.

This isn't really rocket science.

I'm confident with a little leg work you'd be right in there jousting the financials as well.
