Its not doom and gloom , I just look at the facts .
I don’t live in a fantasy world ,I live in reality or atleast try to anyway . I would love for this co to succeed, grow , get new ac . And I’m not talking about some worn out 700 , I mean something new . I would love that . But , fact of the matter is, the over the past few years, the company hasn’t done anything to position itself for anything like that .While Mesa shedded all its 200s and added 175s we did nothing. Skywest expanded its 175 program,we did nothing. Republic shed chataqua, dumped that 50 seat flying and expanded its 175 operations, we did nothing .
I could go on but it’s no need . We stood pat , stood high and proud on the 200 way too friggin’ long - that’s a fact . Now , we have a product that no one wants . As unfortunate as that is , it’s reality .There is no flying to be had unless they buy g7 or vice versa or something like that .
Deltas CEO said publicly he wants no more than 3 regional carriers-PERIOD . Skywest, republic and endeavor. That’s it .
United- scoped out on large rjs.
AA - psa and envoy both have the 700 certificate, they can handle whatever flying they need .
Hopefully the freight thing comes thru or maybe they can find some 700s to convert idk .
Skywest is buying up every 700 they can find according to their crews and there aren’t many to be had .
Its a bunch of great people here at Awac , and I wish the best for my buds . But reality is the owners , management got caught with their pants around their ankles .
