Looking at public records at FAA databases, Spirit has issues. At least in the past, Many that others do as well, but seems a lot of larger issues that go public. I.E. More than 1 Fume event where crew nearly passed out. Several engine failures. Flight control malfunctions. I've read that Heavy 'C' checks are outsourced in South America. Planes with multiple MEL's. Read some feedback from former Spirit Mechanics who indicated concerns with how Spirit was running their MX department.
