We are DOS+3 right now. I also don’t count 401k or per diem as pay. Per diem is for expenses. I’m not pocketing it. It covers about two sit down meals with not even three if you aren’t eating garbage fast food. Yes, 401k is compensation but it’s not “salary” which is what we are talking about. I’m also not saying what we make isn’t a livable wage but let’s stop inflating it into something it’s not. It’s not anywhere on par with the industry first of all and second people keep saying captains are making $300k which they are not.
