No problem with the dual training if they are going to operate and generate revenue for a few months between them.

It just makes me cringe to think we'd actually flow a guy straight from one training slot to another.

I know a 727 SO who was awarded a FO slot during initial indoc and only spent 3 weeks in the backseat after his IOE --- that just seems like incredibly poor planning/forecasting/mgt from a cost perspective.

Admittedly, that happened about 6 months before they started training Purple Nuggets direct to ANC and training every other 727 new hire class with a mix of SOs and FOs.

While recent events have not made me happy, at this point I think we need to do it smart from a business perspective --- less training expense equates to an increase $$ we can ask the company to put in our pockets!
