One option would be giving up a lot of seniority and one would be gaining just a bit of seniority. I like both options plus staying put on my current BES is a winning option too as I’m presently happy where I’m at. I don’t want to play musical snap shots and I’ll bid if and when I’ve made up my mind. If that happens today or an hour before the bid closes, I’m entitled to that window of time.
I’m sorry I’m not sorry if that bothers pilots junior to me. Making the right choice for myself and my family far outweighs me disappointing a few pilots junior to me that just moved down the list by .017%. Im sure some pilots like to think they are sneaky and waiting to the last minute to flex their seniority. But id imagine 95% of those pilots that wait are most likely trying to take their time making a potentially big shake up to their life at home and at work.
Makes sense. Thanks for sharing.
