Wow! What an elitist statement. I personally had no desire for college. Went to tech school and got certified in electrical and plumbing and started taking flying lessons. Thought getting a private might be fun. Next thing I knew just kept going. While flight instructing etc continued to work in the construction field and always made great cash money. Once on with regional which honestly wasn’t a major goal til it actually presented itself. Once there took some college online stuff but was bored. Didn’t see the need. Waste of money in my mind at the time. Even then was making way more on my days off than the Capts. Got hired by CAL and the rest is what it is. I might be an uneducated moron to you but I can wire and plumb a new home or commercial property and that has proven very beneficial with my commercial strip rental properties while making WB Capt. rate.
Sorry people like you so negatively judge those who are missing that little line on their resume. I’ll take my pre retirement portfolio over 99% of most college degreed righteous types. Carry on…
Now if you had simply said, to give yourself the best opportunity one would suggest a degree. I would agree with you.
