You had to start working on plan B. You never could count on what ended up being two more extensions and re fundings of the Cares Act. I and many of our brethren can empathize with you. I am sure it was very tough for all of you. I’m glad things started recovering so quickly and I hope things keep moving in the same direction as they currently are.
I appreciate the sentiment and feel very lucky that things turned out the way they did. I definitely understand that many before me had it worse and get that, while UNA sucked, it was not even close to the worst thing that has happened to delta pilots in the past 40 years.
My original post was addressing my frustration that furlough letters went out while 76 seat scope was actively being violated. And that’s where the rub was for me. I was not trying to make it a “woe is me” post because I don’t have a whole lot of room to complain, but that nugget about scope was something that stuck out to me.
I appreciate what the DL pilots did in the way of 20-04 and voting to cover our healthcare, and I’ll make a point to be grateful to everyone for that, but especially those like you and beernut who had to endure a furlough in the past. I’m glad to see things trending in a positive direction for now.
cheers!
