"Coming to a flight deck near you: All eligible Aviate participants will transition to United by March 29, 2022!
In 2019, we launched Aviate to develop future United Airlines pilots and to offer a clear, direct path to a United flight deck. Since resuming hiring earlier this year, we have already welcomed 385 pilots to United new-hire classes and every class since mid-July has included Aviate participants.
But we don’t intend to stop there. Not only will we continue to include Aviate participants in every class, we intend to transition every currently eligible Aviate participant who meets all program requirements to United by March 29, 2022. We have already initiated the transition process and expect to extend class offers to these pilots in August and September.
In addition, those who meet their transition and program requirements in the coming year can expect a class date 60-90 days after they complete the requirements.
This is no 7600 – you heard correctly. In the next 8 months, all Aviate participants who are currently eligible to transition and meet all program requirements, or will be eligible before the end of the year, will be on property at the United Flight Training Center. We’re proud to share this milestone with you and can’t wait to welcome you to United as soon as possible. The transition to United is a testament to your tenacity and determination to make your dream of becoming a United pilot a reality, and we’re proud to call you a future United pilot.
Aviate UAX partner airlines, Air Wisconsin, CommutAir, GoJet and Mesa, from which nearly all of these pilots will be transitioning, continue to offer exceptional opportunity, advancement and speed to the United flight deck. For pilots not presently at a regional carrier, our actions ensure that these carriers, and the Aviate program, offer the most direct path to United and the best pilot pathway program in the industry.
In order to transition you to a new-hire pilot class, we need your help. Please continue to update AirlineApps and your United profile monthly with your latest information. If you haven’t yet met your transition requirements, remember to notify United’s Aviate administrator at
[email protected] once you’ve done so.
Your bright future at United—home of the largest widebody fleet in North America and the largest current book of aircraft orders of any U.S. carrier—is right around the corner."
