Hi all. I recently was denied the jumpseat on a flight from LGA-ATL due to a weight restriction. The agent insisted they couldn’t take anyone and I never saw the CA. It was a -700, and I commute on this flight frequently and have never had any problems. There was zero weather in either city. I’m curious if the agent just didn’t want to deal with me or if this happens sometimes? On a flight that long with no weather, I’ve never had a problem and you guys are always great to jump on. It might have been a combination of both a weight issue and an agent that just didn’t want to deal with it. Either way, I sincerely apologize. We normally go out of our way to get all freeloaders on.
The recently increased weights are a problem at times. SWAPA is pressuring SWA to include the jumpseat in the BOW of the aircraft however I have almost zero hope that that will happen.
