Hi all. I recently was denied the jumpseat on a flight from LGA-ATL due to a weight restriction. The agent insisted they couldn’t take anyone and I never saw the CA. It was a -700, and I commute on this flight frequently and have never had any problems. There was zero weather in either city. I’m curious if the agent just didn’t want to deal with me or if this happens sometimes? On a flight that long with no weather, I’ve never had a problem and you guys are always great to jump on. I’m sorry about that! Obviously, I don’t know and I’d imagine the Captain would’ve been able to make it work. Heavier passenger weights have made a difference and they may have had a bunch of freight as well. or maybe that plane was fueled for another destination and cancelled with extra gas for LGA-ATL Who knows. I’d definitely call your Jumpseat rep and let them figure it out with SWAPA. Very sorry!
