It’s hard to predict one variant to be more deadlier than the last. But the way these viruses work it would make sense. It’s mutating itself in order to survive. If it can’t find hosts to attach to it will mutate as all things do. In our current situation where ( a guess here) a huge population in the world has had covid it’s probably mutating in order to get past the antibodies that we create on our own. The whole idea of “you’re antibodies only last 3 months so come get the vaccine” is just as incorrect as “the vaccine is going to kill everyone” I spent the entire pandemic following cdc guidelines and got covid recently for the second time because it’s impossible to not come in contact with it in this industry. My 2nd time getting was definitely worse than the first and I still have side effects. So I’m my view cdc guidelines are good, but not perfect. I also believe that everyone should be allowed to make their own educated decisions and live with the consequences of those choices
