I’ve been checking APC since I first started working towards a PPL almost two decades ago now. These forums often tend to be raging dumpster fires interspersed with golden nuggets of information of real benefit. I was thrilled to get an interview with United - just getting a chance to interview is a feat and a privilege. I’m truly disappointed in the behavior of some of the pilots in the United group on here, in the way that they’ve treated fellow aviators. Not only do I want to trust the pilot I’m seated next to in the cockpit, I want to trust that I can link arms on a picket line if anything drove the group towards that. The division really has me questioning whether or not to continue the process. Each person’s life choices are incredibly personal and not only have some of you been unempathetic, but downright callous. Before you say it sounds like I need to have thicker skin - I have almost 20 years in the military and I would never treat brothers and sisters passionate about this job, the way some some of you have. Disappointed.
