Science progresses by research and learning...it's not moving the goal posts, it's progress in understanding. What we thought we knew months ago might not be supported now, and may well be changing again in the future, or changing back! At the end of the day, those researchers, scientists and virologists know more than we do about the subject, so yes I trust them, just as I expect them to trust me when it comes to aviation.
