I'm not FDX and I never lived in Seward, but I did live live in ANC for several years.
Frankly, the road conditions can be treacherous. Weather, moose, darkness, two lanes undivided, it's no exaggeration when they describe that highway as one of the deadliest in Alaska.

And it doesn't happen every year but there are avalanches that close down the highway for days. One year, the town of Girdwood was literally cutoff for a week and supplies needed to be flown in by light aircraft.

Personally I wouldn't consider commuting from Seward to ANC.
