Ryanair is a collection of smaller airlines that operate independently. They also operate under European rules that assure passengers receive proper treatment after a meltdown and they have had their share. If Spirit continues to have meltdowns those type of rules may be coming to the US. They are very expensive if you don’t run a ontime quality operation. In general it’s much easier to operate in Europe than the US. They don’t get our kind of weather.
