The problem with the guys that do it for "fun" and don't care about the pay is that they lower the pay bar for the guys that want to do it for a living. Not that far removed from someone crossing a picket line to "feed their family".
Agree totally with this statement. I find 121 pilots to be some of the best procedural and safe pilots to fly with. But if you step in and start doing it for lunch at a corporate part 91 gig.That’s a $#!+ $+!<€ move. Your reputation will precede you and you’ll be flying a kite. I think that retired 121 pilots should value their experience and training and should be compensated as such. Never low ball a millionaire or for that matter a billionaire. Do what’s right by the industry of having people’s lives in your hands.
