I'm no expert on the Supreme Court either but the way I read it is they can choose not to block a courts decision, or to stay that decision so the Supremes can take up the case - and Barrett didn't block it. I was really surprised she didn't want a crack at it actually. There was a case in Boston I believe back a hundred years ago that has been the guidance for vaccine mandates. Vaccine mandates were always a conservative position as far as I can tell. Up until recently it was a bunch of crunchy hippies who wouldn't get their kids vaccinated for a variety of reasons. My how times change...
