Definitely not a vax pumper. I talked to several doctors, including a PHD/MD actually working on the virus and based on their unanimous opinions, I chose to get the shot as soon as I could. I really don’t care if others get it or not. The evidence shows that the risk from the virus far exceed the shot and that the vaccinated are far less likely to suffer severe or fatal cases. To be brutally honest, if people still decide not to get the shot then I really don’t care what happens to them.
This isn’t a government mandate, it’s a corporate mandate. I wouldn’t bet on United buckling under on this deal. There are just a few hardcore people who will refuse to get vaccinated and accept termination. If anything, United will use them as PR to show “how serious we are about fighting the virus”. If you are among those who will refuse when the deadline occurs, please keep us posted on how this plays out for you. Just remember, we are nothing more than a replaceable part, and if those parts don’t fail in large numbers, there is a warehouse full of the same part ready to be plugged into the machine at a lower cost. I am vaxed, but ironically I was advised by several MDs in my family to not get the vaccine based on my age and health. They are VERY against children getting vaxed as well. They do agree those in the high risk categories should get the shots. They are people that certainly qualify as experts in this field.
