From a customer standpoint, there is no such thing as a "premium" airline any more. At least not when it comes to domestic US travel. Even 1st class these days sucks.
Personally, I'll drive 10 hours as opposed to flying for 3. I hate the drive, but I hate the hassle and drama that airlines (and their predominantly melancholy employees) bring these days.
