Within the selected cadre of pilots, how is flying assigned?

I was hoping for a FAQ type of info sheet that would allow pilots to make an informed decision.

More power to you if you want to cliff jump into a pond without knowing the water depth. I’m just curious and somewhat surprised that Delta has not been more forthcoming with an explanation of how this will play out for bidders.
Curious to know about the temporary base works as well.

ALPA memo states " All volunteer pilots will be given a partial reserve line for the remainder of the August bid period, with additional details to come for September if needed. "

So, if awarded, does this mean a line holder transitions to reserve status, and is obligated to long call/short call status at the new temporary domicile? (if awarded?)

Presumably if this goes into Sept, that would mean a month of reserve status? What about days off? Open ended for Aug/Sept?

Not to be pedantic; genuinely curious.
