I hate to tell you, but welcome to aviation. There will always be some that get shafted and lose out due to the cutoffs (like the soon to be flowing to AA pilots possibly).
How about those that didn't get signing bonuses to join PSA? And then the amount kept increasing over the years. Does it suck if you didn't get one? Absolutely. But, you are now flowing to AA or already have. It's all relative in the scheme of things. I could point out more examples, but let's not. Sometimes you are the bug, sometimes the windshield.
It's amazing how we might be given some good news and pilots still find a way to criticize it. As an older pilot who has seen it all, I'm LMAO.
