Always Good for Distributers/Manufacturers/Innovators to have/own logistics capability. Walmart, Amazon, Target, etc are ”Vertical” providing consumer goods while FedEx, UPS, DHL, ATI, ABX, Atlas, Kalitta, etc. are “Horizontal” and do nothing more than transport. We create nothing we sell nothing but movement from A to B, etc. Vertical has always worked with and never FOR the horizontal. Horizontal has worked with or FOR the Vertical which streamlines the process more often than not. Most everyone will eventually team up or secure their horizontal network before others do as it can be scarce at times. Just another way to monopolize a system.
