If you want to be called on days off for premium trips, you can choose which days and put yourself on a short call (3 hours or less) or longer call list.

If reserve coverage is below a set limit, that day is red. If an uncrewed flight drops, depending on the time to departure scheduling will go to a premium call list.

The priority on the list begins with pilots who have the lowest amount of previous premium block time year to date (and obviously legal to do the flight and doesn’t conflict with regular schedule). If they don’t answer or decline or conflict, they go down the list.

Caveat to short call list, if you answer the phone you must accept the assignment. Short call (Y)list can be any city we fly to, long call (X)list is only in bases.

This is 99% of premium flying. 1% is put in regular open time with a premium designation and picked up first come first serve.
