Back to the original question, the thing that attracted me to SWA initially was that there were legitimately 4 or 5 domiciles that I found acceptable, plus you had the ability to jump around monthly (not lately I know). Flown with several guys who summered in Denver, wintered somewhere warmer. Honestly don’t know where SWA would be on my list today though. Probably not first, but definitely not last.
Don’t get me started on the politics. Least where I live it’s a deep red county, the homeless are rare, and the politics mirror the constituency. Housing is high, but I’m not moving anytime soon.

I wouldn’t mind living in upstate ID or NW MT, but I won’t commute….so in 25 years or so will
have to decide where to retire.
