There are no longer 145s in MIA. If you get a 145 as a new hire you will likely be stuck on it until you can make captain and move over to the 175. The only way for this to change is if the 145s get pulled out of the base you are in, ORD in this example. But this is something not likely to happen any time soon.
This was explained in the original response to your question, but you may have missed it with the other information.
MIA has been awarded in several new hire and/or recall classes, so holding the base could happen quickly,
if you get 175. Holding a line is going to take much longer. No one can say with any certainty how quickly you could hold a line anywhere as the last 18 months have completely destroyed any data points. It could be four months or two years to be off reserve.
