Like many “actual” Dal pilots have said. Dtw is crucial in Dal’s success. It was the number 3 most profitable base in 2019 behind only Atl and Nyc. That being said the seniority loss to start over where the grass is slightly greener but still a dark brown post covid, is a hard argument. If you can get 320 or 73 in new hire your chances of moving to Dtw in your first year would almost be guaranteed as I have a friend who already got it before completing IOE. It really depends on the timing of the AEs vs when you start. Given your time left in the industry and if your optimistic, you’ll still have a choice between widebody FO and narrowbody CA when you retire.

To me, leaving AA is not a wise money decision but a decision based on commuting vs driving to work. Only you and your family can decide that.
