He said don’t pay attention to FO pay but look at where people are going - apparently AVIATE program is working and people are going to United faster than any flow. He also said something about new contract?

you guys currently at Air Wisconsin - do you see people getting into United via aviate often? United is my end goal with Guam base My friend is adamant that Air Wisconsin is the path to take.

Any advice for the new guy would be greater appreciated!
Captains are going to United right now left and right, and the official word from Aviate is that they expect after March 2022 that once candidates reach their 2 year and 2000hr* commitment, they can basically expect to go right to UA.

Some people are concerned about what AW will do as the 200 aircraft fly less and less at United. You never know what may happen, just see Trans States and Expressjet. No one could say for sure what will happen here in the next couple years. It isn't without some risk, but then that's how regionals are.

That being said, if being in GUM and at United is a big priority for you, I would take the chance. It's a good pilot group, our contract is pretty good, there is a lot of flying to be had, and movement is very good. And, should the worst happen, the job market is good enough that you should be able to find another regional while you finish the Aviate commitments.
