Good points. I guess it depends on the price of used -8s. Also tomorrow's economics, fuel prices, etc. No nose load and limits on big pallets may be less important than a cheap way to move 120 metric tons.
I'm not saying I see -8i conversions coming. I'm saying I have no idea what the future holds.
