Go to page 23. The 23% includes both single and double dose in June. As you can see the numbers increase over time from previous months. The CDC supplies a lot of the data in the report but I wasn’t able to verify if that particular data comes from the CDC. Regardless, the website is funded by Mark Zuckerberg and I can’t imagine him fact checking his own funded data. And again, this was before Dr. Fauci and Pfizer said the vaccines wear off much faster than anticipated.
The problem with a lot of hospitals is that they’ll give anyone a covid test that isn’t vaccinated even if they come for something unrelated like a broken leg. A big reason why some hospitals only report 1-10% vaccinated is because they include these unrelated hospitalizations among the unvaccinated as well.
Given the fact that the U.S. and every single other highly vaccinated country are seeing some of their highest covid numbers ever with some countries reporting a majority of their hospitalizations being among the vaccinated, along with Dr. Fauci later stating the vaccines wear off… it only makes sense that the U.S.’s hospitalization percentage would be on par with the rest of the world. Otherwise, we would be considered a one off rarity.
I don't think you're quite understanding what that study is reporting. Their math is off, but the low point of US COVID hospitalizations was in Jun--15% vaccinated, vs 85% without the full course +14 days. They list an average age of of a vaccinated, hospitalized adult as 73 vs 59 for unvaccinated. Vaccination rates in the 65-74 group were nearly 90% at that time. 50-64 was 70%. Despite the vaccinated being the vast majority of people in those ranges, the unvaccinated accounted for greater than 5x the hospitalizations in Jun. The takeaway from the study over the entire time:
"in persons aged ≥18 years, we demonstrated that cumulative population based rates of COVID-19-associated hospitalization were approximately 17 times higher in unvaccinated 255 persons compared with vaccinated persons, and more than 13 times higher in adults aged ≥65 years"
